Sitting around nearly starving,I looked up at my mother, she had worry in her eyes.Worried that she wouldn’t be able to feed her unborn child.Whith me being the oldest child ii felt like ii had to do something. Ii couldn’t let my mother go hungary . I overheard the chief issue his order to his runners ,who announced the dance would soon began. It was the “Buffalo Dance”,a native American custom performed until the buffalo appeared. Dong! Dong! Dong! Dong!,the runners began to to beat on the drums letting us know the buffalo dance was now begining. I grabed my younger brother Ousmane &|& everyone sserrounded the fire taunting ,yelling,&|& doing the buffalo dance. As im dancing I can feel the vibration of my stomach reminding me how hungry I was. My stomach was quickly becoming empty but,I Knew that ii couldn’t stop dancing until the buffalo showed. It has been two days since we first started dancing.dancing on the hard rocks,my feet drug as ii felt the pain.my feet were pleading for me to stop.our feet bleeding, burning,&|& blistering swept the ground as my brother &|& ii kept dancing.I felt water hit my face,it was now begining to rain.It was raining bowling balls . The sky, gloomy &|& dark, thunderd for what seemed to be all night.
The next morning the sun came out. The improved weather made the buffalo dance easier &|& less exhausting . Wihtin the blink of an eye the chiefs runners &|& a few other men took off with plenty of arrows ,&|& polished spears. The buffalo has arrived. The buffalo took over a dozen arrows to the body.Everyone, joyful,&|& smiling, celebrated as the buffalo hit the ground. The dance was finally over ,&|& we all may eat.Im so hungary ii could eat the whole buffalo. I slowly ate my food &|& licked my fingers clean. After eating my stomach was full like an over crowded classroom.
